Play Ball!!

Tucker made the 10 year old All-Star Baseball team
and the games are being played in Cedar City,
so Granny and I loaded up Monday and headed
south to see him play. As Granny put it,
"what better do we have to do?" and "you
know I love all kinds of baseball!"

When you are #5 in the family, you
are packed up and going wherever the
rest of the gang is headed...so Mr. Sully...only
three weeks old was at the ball diamond in
the scorching heat and intermittent rain.
Lucky me...I got to hold this little bundle the
ENTIRE game.
He doesn't seem any worse for the wear, does he?

Tucker is #13 and Bob is the assistant coach.
I love how Tucker has his Dad's exact same stance.

Gill, Gwyn and Abe kept themselves busy
eating snow-cones and chasing ground hogs.

And Granny was totally in her element.
Her comment the next day was,
"Too bad it's so far to go...we could catch
another game today!"
Sully woke up for a bit and got to come out
of his shade shelter during a little cloud cover...
that turned into a downpour.
He's changing really fast, isn't he?
Well, Tucker's team lost their first game but
Tucker did awesome! He had some great
plays on first base, pitched a really good inning,
and hit really well too. I have a feeling we
are going to get to watch LOTS of games for this
boy in the years to come. Sure hope so!
It was a lot of driving but it was well worth the effort.
Love this boy to the moon!
XOXO

Up The Canyon......finally!

I have been wanting to get up the canyon for a cook-out
since the first of June but various distractions have
kept us from doing so. But finally, we all convened
Saturday evening. The stars were all aligned properly
and everyone was scheduled to be there!!
Granny Billie, Mike and I headed up a little
early to find a spot (that turned out to be
fairly well concealed and made it difficult for
all the others to find). We got the coals started,
the table set, the chairs set-up,
and had time for a few rounds to Yahtzee before
the troops arrived.

Miss Greta was sporting her camp fire hair-do
and was determined NOT to be left out of any
activities the herd of toddlers were up to.
Minie Moo was determined to get Jude's full attention.
She pretty much adores him!

Poppy Lou was being especially cuddly with Grandpa...
much to his sheer delight!!! And Grandpa was
especially congenial which made it so pleasant for
all concerned. Love that congenial Mike!!

Mark and Tiff joined in...Mark has always sort of been
Brooke's brother! (Well.... and best buds with her and
Dustin) It was great to have the little expectant
Mommy with us. If they are still okay with having
a baby after seeing all the dirt that was consumed by the
4 and under crowd then they are ready for this event!
They supplied the S'more makings too!

Granny Billie was just a trooper and survived
all the pre-schooler antics. Doesn't she look
like a natural?? I have many a childhood memory
of adventures in the mountains and "wetting a line".
Dustin tended the fire and threw on the corn
and campfire potatoes Brooke had prepared.
(Not without exacting a price however!)
The Hawaiian chicken and peach cobbler were
delish too! Yummmmy!
K-Dig and Trev brought the seven layer dip
and chips and their two adorable kiddos!
Obviously missing from my photos are Brad and
Vanessa and Co. They were there...just late
arriving and I was so involved with the littles by
that point that I had put my camera away. Oh well,
perhaps we can find a time to do this again before
summer leaves us. I sure hope so!!
Canyon outings....I love you!!!

Bella Boo Turns Two

This week has been non-stop party central at the Williams
household. Today we celebrated Bella's 2nd birthday.
Granny Billie has been a trooper and stayed right
in the middle of it all!

Some of Brad and Vanessa's neighbor friends
made the trek down and joined the fun.

Dustin was kind enough to break out Sidewinder Falls again!
Bella didn't hesitate to give it a go!

Good friends, warm weather, lots of water, a trampoline, and
popsicles...what could be better??? Miss Poppy Louise found a nice little "puddle" to
park in and enjoy her popsicle!

Amazing cake made by Vanessa and it was
not only gorgeous, it was delicious!!

Patiently waiting for her piece of cake.

Go ahead and ask her how old she is!

Beautiful Bella...we sure do love you!
Thanks for sharing your day with all of us!!!
XOXOXO

Granny Billie Gets to Know the Newbies

The main reason Paige came to Utah was
so Brig could meet Sully. Can you believe
that Robyn made the trip from St. George with little
Sully when he was less than 2 weeks old?
And let's not even talk about the car breaking
down on the way here!
These two don't know it yet, but they are
bound to be great buddies! Three months seems
like a lot now but in a couple of years it will be nothing!!

Granny Billie had a chance to get to
know these little fellas up close and
personal.
Brig has brought his "A" game and is
a real crowd pleaser!

And Sully is just plain adorable. His Mommy kept
him pretty close at hand but he had a steady stream
of admirers. I'm telling you....it's pretty sweet having
such precious visitors! I hate to see it end! :(

It's inevitable...they are going to be chums!

July 4th 2010!!!!

I must say...the 4th of July in Hidden Oaks is
fantastic. To start the morning off there is the
neighborhood parade.
Granny Billie brought her De-Caf and
rocking chair to the side of the road
dressing in her red, white and blue
so she didn't miss a thing.
The extended Williams Family has become
a regular in the parade. Tucker and Abe
carried the family banner.
And all the little grandbabies and their Mom's
rode on the "float" representing us with pride!

That random child in the middle without a shirt
is Roen and he isn't really one of ours, but we
welcome all riders.

Here's the whole group post-parade in their
red, white and blue. The parade is
followed by the neighborhood breakfast.

Bella and Gabi brought their own chairs for
lounging.

Cousin mutual admiration society! This was
Minie's official birthday, too.

SOOOO thrilled that Brig could join us this year!
He made a dandy addition to the festivities!!

What's more American than happy, healthy
posterity??? This was followed by lots
of fun in the water. Thanks to Dustin
for Sidewinder Falls and maning the grill!

Adorable!!
Hope your 4th was a fun as ours!
XO

Turning 3 at Tea!

Miss Minie's 3rd Birthday party took
place while the Lamoreux gang was in
town to Gil and Gwyn were invited.
Abe chose to play with his cousin Taft on
the party day. It was a fantastic event
in the park despite several minor set-backs
in the day.

Minie is the party queen and loves a good party.
Good thing, too cuz her Mom is a great party planner!

It was an idyllic tea party and so much fun!

Have you ever seen a cuter 3 year old?
What a cutie pie!!
Gil was the most debonair
gentleman at the affair!

Even Mr. Brig made it to the party all the way
from California! And let's talk about his
party duds. Amazing!!
The sisters, once again offering up moral support!
Love these girls!!
Party princess supreme!

Even if the cake did wind up on the ground!
Oops!!!
Once again, a great success and amazing party.
Way to go, Brooke! You never cease
to amaze us.
