Baby Brig & Co. Head Home....

Approximately 48 hours after arriving, it was time for
the new little Clark family to pack it up and head home.

These two became inseparable in no time at all.
"Resting Comfortably"

Here is Baby Brig trying out his own attire for the
first time.

Notice the milk mustache....milk, it does a body good!

He's trying to act interested in this wardrobe change
but it is really boring him. ( the coming home
outfit is compliments of Colleen!)

Here's the little family all dressed and waiting for
the wheel chair to arrive so they can head home.

He snoozed the whole way home in his new car seat and
tried out the Tim Williams cradle straight away! And before you
knew it, he was once again "resting comfortably".
Scrumptious, isn't he??

"And the adventure begins!"

Baby Brig Makes His Debut.....

Okay folks, by way of warning....I may have gone from
pictureless posts to mucho picture posts. This if for you sisters
of Paige...
By the time I arrived at 9:15AM they had already started
the PIT and broken Paige's water and she was feeling
miserable. They offered her shots that didn't touch
the pain and said no epidural until she reached a 4.

Nate was hanging in there in the man cave but
how much can a fella do...REALLY?

Baby Brig was giving us some concerns so they
gave Mommy some oxygen to help him out and
finally agreed to the epidural.

After that, it was smooth sailing. Mom was able to
relax, her body was able to do it's thing,
and Baby Brig settled down too.

At 7:01PM sweet Baby Brig was born
weighing in at 7lbs. 3 oz. and 20 inches.
Brigham Zeyer Clark

He struggled breathing at first so they
let Mom and Dad have a few snuggles and then
whisked him off to the nursery for observation.

This new little Momma didn't want to part with
her little guy!

Part of the miracle of child birth is watching as
two people become parents in an instant.
The love was so thick in the room you could
cut it with a knife!

After a couple of hours of observation, Baby Brig
was returned to the loving arms of his Mommy
looking much pinker and breathing much easier.

Here he is as we unwrapped him to check him out
thoroughly. He didn't mind at all!

I'm thinking we have a tucked toe here...that's how we
know he is ours for sure!

I'm telling you...straight from heaven. There is nothing
sweeter and this is one beautiful, beautiful boy!

Do you think this girl is happy or what?
I'm so proud of her...she did great!
Thanks, Nate and Paige, for letting me be a part
of welcoming Baby Brig into the world.
I love him so much already!
XOXOXO

(There you go, ladies! As promised!)

And I'm Off Again...

No pictures again.... :( but just an update. I have been out to CA to "babysit" Paige while Nate went to a much deserved President's Club gathering. We had such a great time taking care of last minute details for little baby B's arrival. It was so sweet to have some one on one time with Paige while I watched her in the very last moments of her pregnancy. It's HARD to be 9 mo. pregnant and function in your day to day life but it is also really exciting the first time around as you anticipate all that lies ahead. So, I hopped on the plane so this little couple could have some "last time alone" time and headed home Thursday night just in time to hop in the car with Kennan, Brooke and Vanessa and meet up with Robyn in St. George for a girls "sewing weekend". What a great time was had and so much was accomplished without little children about.(Thanks Jeff and Amy for the use of your second home!) It involved lots of work and lots of late, late nights but we were able to assist and encourage one another. Way to go all you Dad's who stepped up to make this possible! While at the sew-a-thon, Paige called to say they bumped up her induction date by a day so tonight she lays in a hospital bed waiting for the whole process to begin. In reality I probably should have just stayed but instead I will be catching the 7AM flight to Oakland and taking a cab to the hospital in hopes of being there when Baby Clark arrives. What could be sweeter than helping welcome a new little angel baby into the world. So I'm off to be there as my baby has a baby. Can't wait and FYI....I've already put my camera in my purse. I'm NOT going to miss documenting this event! TTFN ......

Sweet Brookie Celebrates "24"!

Twenty four years ago today I had the privilege of
bringing this beautiful young lady into the world!
She was a charmer from the get-go....she
even won a baby contest just by smiling her
way into the judges hearts. Even as a very little
girl she was aware of people around her
and made them feel special by making eye
contact and telling them "Hi" by name. And she
has NEVER given us a lick of trouble!! So...
today we celebrated her just as she requested!

She started her day by getting her hair done and
her stylist said she needed "birthday hair" and
that's exactly what she got!

Here she shows us her age "the big 24" and
models her up-do!

I think it was a cross between "edgy" and
prom...but is suited her and only Brooke can
carry something like this off. Love her!!

Next she wanted sushi....so we met her for
lunch at the Mikado...three adults and four
pre-schoolers...yeah, I know!
(Rule of thumb...don't let the pre-schoolers
outnumber the adults!)

She received calls from her admirers
throughout the day...and let me tell you
they are numerous!! Everyone loves Brookie.
Of course, the Gregory's were there for
the ENTIRE celebration. Kennan and Brooke
are kind of inseparable! And Jude and Greta
might as well be Minie and Poppy's siblings.

I had to document this sushi....delish and I'm not even
a sushi fan but the Mikado has is goin' on!! The
Vegas roll was incredible...thank you, Brookie.

Those who know Kennan know she HATES any
seafood but after my raving about it
and as a gift to Brooke she was willing
to give it a try. It didn't make it all the way
down her throat. She still hates it...but at least
she tried!

Here's the happy birthday lunch group! I must
admit, we do have a lot of fun together.
Can you tell????

And of course, a Williams women's gathering
wouldn't be complete without a Target run.
Here Poppy and Minie are modeling some
Easter bonnets and gloves from the dollar bins.

Later in the evening, we left the littles behind
and all headed out for an "adult" dinner.
Brooke wanted to go to the Cheesecake Factory, but
they had a 2 hour wait so we followed Brookie's
lead to the Epic restaurant and while we waited
Brooke opened presents. She is sort of into
all things vintage these days and here she
is opening a vintage tea set I found for her.

I can highly recommend the Epic...we
were NOT disappointed. And we had
a great time with the whole group.
As you can see, Mark and Tiff are kind of
just a part of the "whole group".

Here is the birthday girl with the two who brought
her into the world. She has always been a ray of
sunshine in our lives and I don't know anyone who
is loved more. She is a beautiful woman, an
outstanding mother & wife, a talented writer and photographer,
a crafter extraordinaire, and has the most genuinely
understanding and compassionate heart and
warmth that draws people to
her and makes them want to remain close forever.
My life is so abundantly blessed for having her in it and
I'm so grateful that the Lord trusted me with the responsibility
of raising such an amazing young woman.
HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SWEET BROOKIE!
The best is yet to come....
XOXOXO Mom

P.S. I hope I am there for all of it!!

ENOUGH ALREADY!!

Waking up to this today made me want
to climb back under the covers and
hibernate!

And NO, Dustin, these were NOT taken
at Christmas!!
It's beautiful and we need the moisture
(I really dislike that phrase) but can't we
have it in December and January and
maybe even February and then be
done with it?? I am SOOOOO over winter!!
